Preparing for the pert
The testing window for the PERT at Pine Ridge High School is May 6-17, 2013. The following websites have practice exams and study guide resources for students wanting extra help and practice for the PERT exam.
Daytona State College: DSC School of Mathematics
Link: http://www.daytonastate.edu/assessment/PERT.html
From this link, scroll down the to bottom. There should be links to "DSC School of Mathematics." There are 3 sections: Arithmetic, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2. Each section includes practice problems, and audio recorded tutoring for problems that students do not get correct.
Also on this page are a few brief practice tests. However, these tests are only up to 10 questions, and may not cover all material for the PERT.
Valencia College:

From this link, you can find study guides for all sections of the PERT: Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. I do not have as much experience with this website, as most of my students have worked with Daytona State College. The format is PDF, which means it can be printed. If students print out pages and wants to come to PRIDE for tutoring on specific problems, this is a good study for them.
Seminole State College:
Link: http://www.seminolestate.edu/testing/pert/cpt_practice.php
From this link, you can take online quizzes for each section of the PERT and receive immediate feedback. However, there is no online remediation for the problems that the student does not get correct. However, this is a good "practice" test for students to take to give them an idea of where they stands. Students can bring in print outs and go over results with Mrs. Curia to set up a study plan.
